This presentation explores tobacco use disorder specific to a behavioral health population and integrated recovery-oriented interventions.

Upon completion of this training, participants will be able to:

1. Define the origin of prevailing tobacco-related social norms in the treatment and recovery culture.

2. Cite data to demonstrate that Pennsylvanians with mental and substance use disorders have disproportional tobacco-related health disparities and inadequate access to appropriate tobacco treatment services.

3. Identify strategies to denormalize tobacco use in behavioral health settings and support evidence-based tobacco use disorder interventions within a recovery-oriented framework.
