SUMMARY:The Rationale: Addressing Tobacco Use in Behavioral Health Services
DESCRIPTION:This presentation explores tobacco use disorder specific to a behavioral health population and integrated recovery-oriented interventions. \n  \nUpon completion of this training\, participants will be able to: \n1. Define the origin of prevailing tobacco-related social norms in the treatment and recovery culture. \n2. Cite data to demonstrate that Pennsylvanians with mental and substance use disorders have disproportional tobacco-related health disparities and inadequate access to appropriate tobacco treatment services. \n3. Identify strategies to denormalize tobacco use in behavioral health settings and support evidence-based tobacco use disorder interventions within a recovery-oriented framework. \nREGISTER HERE
